Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny. -- Upanishads

      Impermanence

      Impermanence

The Buddha teaches that "All things are Impermanent", Life is constantly reminding us that to grow spiritually and physically we must learn to accept that change is part of life. Our relationship with our loved ones, our job functions and even a flower over time will change.

Similarly, in our yoga practice, our bodies change every time we are in the hot room. The change might be big or small, yet over time if we pay attention and stay present, we can see the change happen and become aware of the amazing process which is our yoga practice.

The Dalai Lama said that “The very fact that something comes into being makes it possible and indeed necessary for that thing to cease. Its origination is the primary condition for its cessation. So when we understand the impermanence of all things, we understand that they are going through this process of cessation in each moment.”

Next time when you are in a difficult posture and you are looking for an exit, just Breath and know that this too is impermanent.
